Have employees who made a donation over the holidays but forgot to submit their offline match request before the end of the year? Millie makes it easy to get those donations in at the start of the new year (while still counting toward last year’s budget!) using our grace period functionality: a defined window after year-end when your team can still submit last year's offline donations for a match.
Want to set up a grace period for your organization? Here’s how:
⚙️ Setting up a grace period
- Go to Donations → Match Settings.
- Find the Offline Donation Grace Period setting toward the bottom of the page.
- Turn it on and enter how many days/weeks/months after fiscal year-end employees can submit prior-year offline donations (for example, 30 or 60 days).
- Click Save. That's it! 🎉
📌 Good to know
- Prior-year donations submitted during the grace period draw from each employee's prior-year cap and your prior-year company budget.
- Prior-year matches show up in Analytics under the year of the donation date, so your year-end reporting stays squeaky clean. 🧼
- Spread the word! Share the deadline in your year-end comms and in your dashboard's Program Details section. 📣
