At Millie, we believe in transparent pricing and maximizing the impact of every donation.
All digital donations - no matter where you make them - include standard processing and distribution fees. These fees are not unique to Millie — they apply to online donations across platforms, including those made directly on a nonprofit’s website.
Millie’s commitment, however, is that we do not take any portion of your donation for profit or revenue.
All fees go directly to:
- The payment processor (Stripe), or
- The Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) sponsor, Percent Impact Foundation.
Our fee structure is designed to be among the lowest in the industry, ensuring that as much funding as possible reaches nonprofits.
Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) Fee
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable account administered by a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. It serves as an intermediary between donors and nonprofit organizations.
DAFs exist to ensure that charitable donations are:
- Reviewed for nonprofit eligibility
- Distributed in compliance with IRS regulations
- Properly receipted and documented
- Audited and traceable
In Millie’s case, the DAF structure allows donations to be processed centrally and then granted to vetted nonprofit organizations in a compliant, secure, and trackable way.
All donations made through Millie are granted via the Percent Impact Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Percent Impact Foundation is partnered with Goodstack as their technology partner.
- 1.5% per donation
- This fee supports grant processing, compliance, and disbursement to nonprofits.
This is one of the smallest DAF disbursement fees available in workplace giving.
Payment Processing Fees (Stripe)
Millie uses Stripe to securely process all payments.
These are standard payment processor fees and are paid directly to Stripe.
Fee Coverage (If Enabled by Your Company)
Some companies choose to cover processing fees for either employee donations and/or company match donations.
If your company enables fee coverage:
- The associated processing and DAF fees are added to each donation
- These charges are deducted from your company wallet or chosen payment method
- Fees are applied monthly, on the 1st of each month
When fee coverage is enabled, the nonprofit receives the full intended donation amount.
