This page explains when invitation emails are sent to employees and the options you have at launch and after launch. It also covers how SCIM provisioning, CSV upload, and manual adds affect invite behavior:

Options for Inviting Employees at Launch
When you press Launch, you will see a Launch Review screen with an option to:
- Include email invite: send invitation emails to all employees currently in your Millie instance.
- Do not include email invite: launch the instance without sending invitation emails.
If you select Include email invite on the Launch Review page, Millie will send invitation emails to all employees that are in your instance at the moment you launch.
If you select Do not include email invite, no invitations are sent at launch.
Post‑Launch Email Invites
After initial launch, invite behavior depends on how employees are added to Millie.
SCIM‑Provisioned Employees (Most users reading this doc)
- When new employees are provisioned via SCIM, Millie does not send an invite email automatically.
- These employees can access Millie via SSO when they are ready, or you can send invites later using Resend Invite from the Employees page.
CSV Uploads or Manual Adds
- When you add employees via CSV or add a single employee manually after launch, Millie sends an invitation email at the time of add, even if you launched previously with email invites disabled.
What’s in the Invite Email?
The invite includes a personalized link that connects the employee to your company’s Millie instance so they can activate their account and start participating.
Resending an Invite
You can resend an invite any time from the Employees page:
- Go to Settings → Employees
- Find the employee
- Click the three‑dot menu (⋮)
- Select Resend Invite
Account Creation Confirmation Email
When a user logs in for the first time (via SSO or by setting a password on Millie if SSO is not used), Millie sends an Account Creation Confirmation email. This security email confirms the account creation and helps notify the user in case it was not them.
