There are three ways to manage your employee list in Millie—SCIM, bulk upload via CSV, and manual entry. We recommend using SCIM wherever possible for the most efficient and secure option.
⚙️ SCIM (Recommended)
SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) is the most seamless way to manage your employee list. It keeps your roster in sync automatically and ensures your data stays accurate without any manual intervention.

📥 Bulk Upload (CSV)
If SCIM isn't an option, you can bulk upload and update employees with a CSV file. This is great for initial setup or periodic updates.
To get started:
- Navigate to Settings > Employees
- Click "Add & Update Employees"
You'll be guided through a 4-step flow:
- Step 1: Select CSV
Upload your file. Required columns: Email, First Name, Last Name. You can also include Custom Attributes.
Download the CSV template:
- Step 2: Map Columns
- Step 3: Map Values
- Step 4: Review & Upload
Match the columns in your CSV to Millie fields or custom attributes.
Assign each value in a custom attribute (like Department) to the correct option.
Confirm your data before submitting.
📝 Pro Tips:
- Email is the unique identifier—new emails create new users; existing emails update records.
- To deactivate or change emails in bulk, contact team@milliegiving.com.
➕ Manual Entry (One-Off)
For small teams or quick edits, you can also add and manage employees individually.
- Go to Settings > Employees
- Click "Add Employee"
- Fill in first name, last name, email, and any custom attribute fields
- Click Add
