π Your company is rallying around a cause, and you're invited! Campaigns bring everyone together for a moment that matters, whether it's Giving Tuesday, Earth Month, helping out with a recent natural disaster, or a tribute to a colleague. A campaign can include donations, volunteering, a goods drive, links to digital resources, and even a fun pinterest-style activity feed. You choose how you want to participate and Millie does the rest!
π Finding a campaign
There are three easy ways to get there:
- π Your home dashboard. Featured campaigns pop up right when you log in. Click any one to dive in.
- π The Events tab. Every company campaign lives here, sorted into Active, Recent, and Upcoming. You can also search or filter by group.
- π A direct link. Every campaign has its own URL. If your admin team shares a campaign link by email, Slack, or Teams, it'll take you straight to the relevant page as long as youβre logged into Millie.
Once you're on the campaign page, you'll see a short description, the campaign dates, any nonprofits involved, how much has been raised, and who's cheering it on.
πΈ Donating to a campaign
- Open the campaign and find the Donations section.
- Choose your nonprofit.
- Depending on the campaign setup, you'll pick from the nonprofits listed on the campaign or (if itβs an open giving campaign) give to any nonprofit in Millie.
- Enter an amount, choose how you'd like to pay, and donate as usual.
- Woohoo! π₯³ Your gift counts toward the campaign total and any goal tracker.
Meant to associate a donation with a campaign, but donated too early (or late)? Reach out to team@milliegiving.com to have your donation reprocessed in the system against the right initiative!
π About matching: Some campaigns use your regular annual match. Others come with a special match (i.e. 2:1 or 3:1) , or a separate match budget (meaning your dollars go farther!). If a campaign has its own budget, your gift can be matched even if you've already used up your annual match! The campaign page and donation screen will show you what applies before you give.
π§Ύ Already donated to an eligible nonprofit outside Millie? No problem. Submit it through Wallet β Submit Offline Donation and select the campaign on the form so it counts.
π Volunteering in a campaign
- Scroll to the campaign's Volunteering section.
- Click an opportunity to check out the details, date, and location.
- Click Sign up (or follow the nonprofit's registration link).
- If the event tracks hours, they'll be logged for you after the event. If not, see How to Track Your Volunteer Hours here (or reach out to our team for help!)
π¦ Contributing to a Goods Drive
Drives can collect physical items (coats π§₯, toys π§Έ, school supplies π) or track other intangible moments of impactΒ like miles walked, bags of trash picked up, or acts of kindness.
- Find the Goods Drive section on the campaign page.
- If your admins turned on employee tracking, click Track Items, choose the item, and enter how many you contributed.
- Click Submit and watch the progress bar climb! π
Don't see a way to track? Your admins may be logging contributions for the team. Check the campaign description for drop-off details.
πΈ Posting to the activity feed
If the campaign has an activity feed, scroll to the bottom of the page to:
- Share a photo or story (a memory, a volunteer selfie, or what the cause means to you β read the campaign description for activity feed direction)
- React to and comment on your coworkers' posts β€οΈ
The feed is a great way to be part of the moment, even if you aren't donating or volunteering this time around.
π€« Will coworkers see that I participated?
Only if you want them to! Every Millie profile is private by default, so campaign activity shows as "Someone donated."
