Your giving is personal, and Millie keeps it that way! π€ Your profile is private from the start, and you're always in control. There are two separate settings to know: your profile visibility (what coworkers see) and donation anonymity (what the nonprofit sees).
π Your profile is private by default
Every Millie profile starts out private. While yours is private:
- Your name doesn't appear on campaign pages, backer lists, or activity counts. Your participation shows as "Someone donated."
- Coworkers can't see which nonprofits you've supported.
- Your generosity still counts! π Your donations add to company totals, campaign progress, and dashboard impact numbers.
π Want to share your impact? Make your profile public
- Click your name in the upper right corner.
- Select View Profile.
- Click Change to public profile.
- Changed your mind? Follow the same steps to switch back to private anytime.
With a public profile, coworkers can see your name when you take part in campaigns and company initiatives. It's a great way to inspire others!
π΅οΈ Donating anonymously to the nonprofit
When you make a donation, you decide whether the nonprofit sees that the gift came from you.
- On the donation screen, find the Share my info with checkbox option (this is checked by default).
- Uncheck the box to keep your name and email private from the nonprofit.
- Want to add a note? Go for it! You can still leave one when giving anonymously. π
If you don't choose to be anonymous, the nonprofit can see your name, email, and company when they log in to their Millie account, along with any note you added.
