Your Millie Wallet is your personal giving hub within the Millie platform. This is where you can:
- View and manage your available donation funds
- Track your company match balance
- Manage payment methods
- Access tax receipts
- View past donation activity
- Submit offline donations for matching
- Set up recurring or payroll donations (if available through your employer)
Understanding Your Wallet Balances
At the top of your Wallet, you’ll see two important balances:
💚 Green: “Left to Give” (Your Wallet Balance)
This is the amount currently available in your Millie Wallet to donate.
Your wallet balance may include:
- Pre-loaded Funds
- Money you’ve added to your wallet for future donations.
- These funds are tax-deductible at the time they are uploaded into Millie, not when you later donate them.
- Millie Gift Card Funds
- Funds gifted to you by your company or a peer.
- Gift card funds do not qualify for corporate match.
If your green balance shows $0, you can still donate by adding funds or using a saved payment method.
💜 Purple: “Match Left” (Company Match Budget)
This shows how much of your company’s matching budget you have remaining for the current fiscal year.
- When you donate to an eligible nonprofit, your company may match your gift.
- Once your match budget is used up, the wallet will indicate that the match limit has been reached.
- Gift card funds do not trigger company match.
If you’re unsure about your company’s matching policy, refer to your internal HR or benefits documentation.
💰 Changing Your Donation Currency
Your Wallet includes a currency dropdown at the top of the page.
- Use this to select your preferred donation currency.
- This setting controls how amounts are displayed and processed for your donations.
- Millie supports global giving across multiple currencies.
You can update your preferred currency at any time.
💳 Managing Payment Methods
Under the Payment section, you can:
- Add a new credit or debit card
- Update or remove saved cards
- Select your default payment method
All payments are securely processed through Stripe.
To update your payment methods:
- Navigate to your Wallet.
- Select Manage Payment Methods.
- Add or update your card details as needed.
⌛️ Viewing Your Past Activity
The Past Activity section shows a full history of your giving, including:
- Donations made
- Wallet uploads
- Company matches
- Match status (e.g., Approved, Limit Reached)
Here you can see:
- Which organizations you’ve supported
- The amounts donated
- The date of each transaction
This section gives you a complete view of your personal impact.
🧾 Accessing Tax Receipts
You can download your tax receipts directly from your Wallet.
- Select Tax Receipts.
- Download documentation for eligible donations and wallet uploads.
- Remember: wallet uploads are tax-deductible when funds are added.
If you need documentation for tax purposes, this is where you’ll find it.
💻 Submitting Offline Donations for Company Match
If you donated directly to a nonprofit outside of Millie (for example, on a nonprofit’s website), you may still be eligible for a company match.
To submit:
- Select Submit Offline Donation.
- Provide required donation details.
- Upload proof of donation.
Your company’s matching guidelines will determine eligibility.
↻ Setting Up Recurring Donations
If you’d like to support a nonprofit on an ongoing basis:
- Navigate to the Recurring Donations tab.
- Create or manage monthly recurring gifts.
- Update or cancel at any time.
Recurring donations make it easy to support causes consistently.
📋 Payroll Donations (If Enabled by Your Employer)
If your company offers payroll giving:
- Visit the Payroll Donations section.
- Set up or update your contribution amount.
- Contributions will be deducted directly from your paycheck.
Availability depends on your employer’s program.
