💡 What You Can Do
1. Promote Events to Slack Channels
When creating or editing a volunteer event, you can choose to send notifications about the event to a Slack channel of your choice. This boosts visibility and allows employees to engage directly from where they already communicate.
- Pick a public or private Slack channel for the event
- A post will go out with the event name, date, description, and a link to sign up
- Reminders go out automatically before the event
2. Enable Live Activity Feed
Enable an event-specific channel to automatically show real-time activity as people sign up. This helps build momentum and creates a shared sense of participation.
- Posts when someone signs up
- Helps drive team engagement for group or company-wide events
3. Join Event Channels
Employees can join the event Slack channel and coordinate with coworkers. This is especially useful for remote teams or events that require prep or coordination.
