Not all volunteer opportunities are planned through Millie—and that’s okay! If your company hosted a volunteer event outside of the platform or organized something for a specific group (rather than the whole company), you can still track hours and apply Dollars for Doers benefits using a Hidden Event.
Hidden Events won’t appear on the employee-facing dashboard or events pages but allow admins to track participation behind the scenes. These hours are still included in company analytics and count toward your Dollars for Doers program.
How to Create a Hidden Event
- In your Admin Navigation, click on Volunteering.
- Go to the Volunteering & Hours tab.
- Click the Track Volunteers & Hours button (orange).
- Select New Tracking Event (blue).
- Fill out the event details, then toggle the Hidden option before submitting.
Once submitted, the event will be added to the admin-only event list, and you’ll be able to track volunteer hours just like any other event.
